International Driver Training, Inc. dba: Comedy Defensive Driving®, a.k.a. CDD, will not share STUDENT’s personal information with parties outside of its company. The information about STUDENT collected by CDD is subject to this privacy policy. CDD recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its students and visitors to its web site while permitting CDD to conduct legitimate business. This information is used to provide STUDENT with the a course of instruction as requested, to enable billing and shipping of the Certificate of Completion with verification to state agency.

RECORD DESTRUCTION POLICY

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that all necessary records that are no longer needed or are of no value to CDD are discarded at the proper time.

CERTIFICATION RECORDS: All records must be retained per the specified amount of time per the State requirements for certification. Customers can not request their data to be deleted prior to the period required by any State organization or Court that a certificate of completion has been issued for. At the expiration of the State required or Court required time period data with specific certification of completion information is deleted and/or disposed of by CDD.

FINANCIAL RECORDS: All records must be retained per the specified amount of time for tax related purposes (7 years). At the expiration of the IRS required time period of 7 years data with specific financial information is automatically deleted and/or disposed of by CDD.

NON-COMPLETION: Records containing certification data that are incomplete registrations or successful registration with failure to complete a course withing the time period specified by a State agency will be deleted after 120 days by CDD. Any financial information resulting from the above will be deleted after 7 years by CDD. If you wish for your data to be deleted prior to the 120 day period please notify CDD via email at support@comedydefensivedriving.com

DATA COLLECTION

The data collected and obtained from customers may contain any of the following information: Name, Address, Date of Birth, Email, Password, Drivers License, Citation Numbers, Court Information, Discounts or Promo Code, Form of Payment, Date of Transactions and any other Court related information required to process a State Certificate of Completion.


Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Any information not required to be retained for the reasons listed above will be deleted.
